Correct
Total piece of Saree = 25 Length of a piece = 175 cm So, total length of the reel = 25 x 175 + 90 = 4375 + 90 = 4465 cm = 44.65 m
Incorrect
Total piece of Saree = 25 Length of a piece = 175 cm So, total length of the reel = 25 x 175 + 90 = 4375 + 90 = 4465 cm = 44.65 m
Question 2 of 10
2. Question
Ganesh started a business investing Rs. 45,000. After 3 months, Vimal joined him with a capital of Rs. 60,000. After another 3 months, Anand joined them with a capital of Rs. 90,000. At the end of the year, they made a profit of Rs. 18,600. What is Ganesh’s share of profit?
Correct
Share of investment = 45000*12: 60000*9:90000*6
= 540: 540: 540 = 1:1:1
∴ Ganesh’s Profit = 1/3 x 18600 = Rs.6200
Incorrect
Share of investment = 45000*12: 60000*9:90000*6
= 540: 540: 540 = 1:1:1
∴ Ganesh’s Profit = 1/3 x 18600 = Rs.6200
Question 3 of 10
3. Question
The length of a rectangle exceeds its breath by 8 cm. If the length is decreased by 5 cm and the breadth is increased by 4 cm, then the area of the new rectangle will be the same as the area of the original rectangle. What will be the perimeter of the original rectangle?
Correct
Let the breadth of the original rectangle be x cm.
∴ Length = (x + 8) cm.
According to the question,
x (x + 8) = (x + 8 – 5) (x + 4)
x^{2} + 8x = x^{2} + 7x + 12
x = 12
∴ Perimeter of original rectangle
2 (x + 8 + x) = 4x + 16
4 x 12 + 16 = 64 cm
Incorrect
Let the breadth of the original rectangle be x cm.
∴ Length = (x + 8) cm.
According to the question,
x (x + 8) = (x + 8 – 5) (x + 4)
x^{2} + 8x = x^{2} + 7x + 12
x = 12
∴ Perimeter of original rectangle
2 (x + 8 + x) = 4x + 16
4 x 12 + 16 = 64 cm
