30-Day Study Plan for RRB NTPC 2026

30 days. That's all you have. Sounds scary? It shouldn't. If you follow this plan with full discipline, 30 days is MORE than enough to crack RRB NTPC. I'm not saying it'll be easy — I'm saying it's 100% possible. Thousands of students have done it before, and you can too.

The RRB NTPC CBT-1 has 100 questions: 40 GK/Current Affairs, 30 Mathematics, and 30 Reasoning. This plan focuses heavily on GK because that's where the quickest gains are. You can realistically go from zero to 30+ in GK within 30 days. Let's break it down week by week.

Week 1 (Days 1-7): History + Polity — The Heavy Hitters

History and Polity together carry 10-12 questions in NTPC. That's almost 30% of GK! This week, dedicate 3 hours daily to these two subjects. For History: focus on Ancient India (Indus Valley, Vedic Age, Maurya, Gupta), Medieval India (Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire), and Modern India (1857 revolt to Independence). For Polity: Constitution basics, Fundamental Rights, DPSPs, Parliament, President, and important amendments.

Daily plan: Morning 1.5 hrs — Read one History chapter. Afternoon 1.5 hrs — Read one Polity chapter. Evening 30 mins — Practice 20 questions from today's topics on the app. Before sleeping — Revise today's key points for 15 minutes.

Week 2 (Days 8-14): Geography + Science — Score Boosters

Geography and Science carry another 8-10 questions combined. For Geography: Indian rivers, mountain ranges, national parks, soil types, climate, and important dams. These are highly factual — once you memorize them, the marks are guaranteed. For Science: focus on Physics (units, laws, instruments), Chemistry (elements, acids/bases, everyday chemistry), and Biology (diseases, vitamins, human body systems).

Important: Don't stop revising Week 1 topics! Spend 30 minutes each evening going through History and Polity questions on the app. The topic-wise practice sets are perfect for this — do one set of History and one set of Polity daily while you study Geography and Science.

Week 3 (Days 15-21): Current Affairs + Economy + Computer

Current Affairs alone carries 5-7 questions — this is the section that separates good scores from great scores. Focus on the last 6 months: important appointments, awards, sports events, government schemes, summits, and new laws. For Economy: basic concepts like GDP, inflation, RBI policies, budget highlights, and five-year plans. For Computer: basic hardware/software, internet terms, shortcuts, and generations of computers.

Pro tip for Current Affairs: Don't try to read newspapers from 6 months back. Use compiled monthly current affairs one-liners. Read them twice and then test yourself. The app has current affairs questions that cover the most exam-relevant events — use them daily.

Week 4 (Days 22-30): Full Revision + Mock Tests

NO new topics this week. This is pure revision and testing. Days 22-24: Revise History + Polity + Geography (one subject per day). Days 25-27: Revise Science + Economy + Current Affairs + Computer. Days 28-30: Only mock tests — at least 2 full-length mocks per day. After each mock, write down every wrong answer and revise that topic immediately.

The last 3 days are crucial. Don't panic, don't start anything new, and don't study more than 5-6 hours. Your brain needs rest to perform well. Solve practice sets on the app, focus on your weak areas, and revise your mistake notes. Sleep well the night before — a fresh mind scores 5-10 marks more than a tired one.

Daily Hours Breakdown

Here's your non-negotiable daily schedule for 30 days: 6:00-8:00 AM — New topic study (2 hrs). 9:00-10:30 AM — Practice questions on the app (1.5 hrs). 2:00-3:30 PM — Revision of previous topics (1.5 hrs). 7:00-8:00 PM — Current affairs + one practice set (1 hr). Total: 6 hours. That's it. Stick to this for 30 days, and you WILL see results on exam day. The app is your best companion for this journey — use the topic-wise practice, track your daily score, and keep that streak going. 30 days from now, you'll thank yourself for starting today.
