• Directions:1-10) In each of the following questions, two equations (a) and (b) are given. Solve them and find the correct option.

II. [(y5/2)/√13] = [(2*4) +√25]2

Ans:3
I. x4= 28561

x= 13 and -13

II. [(y5/2)/√13] = [(2*4)+√25]2

[(y5/2)/√13]= [8+5]2

y5/2= 131/2(13)2

y=13

Hence x ≤ y

II. 7x-6y=18

3x-2y=12………… (1)

7x-6y=18………… (2)

Multiply (1) by 3 then we get,

9x-6y=36 ……………. (3)

y=4 and -4

y(y+1)+6(y+1)=0

y=-1 and -6

Hence, x≤y
