Photosynthesis: 6CO₂ + 6H₂O → C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂ (in presence of sunlight and chlorophyll). Occurs in chloroplasts of green leaves. Light reaction (in thylakoids): water splits, O₂ released, ATP+NADPH made. Dark reaction/Calvin cycle (in stroma): CO₂ fixed into glucose using ATP+NADPH. Chlorophyll absorbs red and blue light, reflects green (why leaves are green). Factors: light intensity, CO₂ concentration, temperature, water.
