Plant Hormones
Biology · पादप हार्मोन
📋Quick Overview
Plant hormones (phytohormones) regulate growth and development. Five major hormones: Auxin (promotes growth, phototropism — bending toward light), Gibberellin (stem elongation, breaks dormancy), Cytokinin (cell division, delays ageing), Abscisic acid/ABA (stress hormone, inhibits growth, promotes dormancy, closes stomata), Ethylene (fruit ripening, leaf fall). Auxin discovered by F.W. Went. These hormones work in coordination to control plant responses.
